From Workshop to Table: The Journey of Canarels Products
Share
When a Canarels trophy reaches you, it carries months of labor, passion and artistry behind it.
So how do these elegant ceramic pieces make their unique journey from clay to your kitchen? Here's a step-by-step explanation of the process from the Canarels workshop to your table.
1. Inspiration and Design
Everything begins with an idea. Seasons, emotions, art history, nature... Our sources of inspiration are diverse. These ideas are put to paper and transformed into initial drawings. The color palette and form are determined.
2. Shaping the Clay
Specially selected ceramic clay is shaped by hand or on a lathe. This process is entirely handmade. Each mug, even the same model, bears unique touches.
3. Drying and First Firing
The shaped products are first dried in a natural environment. Then, they are first fired (biscuit firing) at 850–950°C. This process makes the product durable.
4. Glazing and Coloring
Products are coated with a special glass-like coating called glaze. Some models are individually hand-painted or feature special patterns. This stage determines both the product's aesthetics and durability.
5. Second and Third Firing
Glazed items are fired a second time. If they feature precious metal applications such as gold or platinum, they are fired a third time at 700–800°C.
6. Personalization and Finishing Touches
Personalized inscriptions, symbols, or messages are applied at this stage. These handcrafted details make each product unique.
7. Packaging and Preparation
Products are carefully packaged in special Canarels boxes. Protective materials and cards are added to ensure elegant and secure shipping.
8. It Takes Its Place on Your Table
In the final step, this elegant piece arrives on your table, in your coffee corner, or as a gift for your loved ones. Each Canarels product enters your life as the bearer of a story.
