Sürdürülebilir Atölye: El Yapımı Üretimde Doğaya Saygı

Sustainable Workshop: Respect for Nature in Handmade Production

Art is not only aesthetic; it can also be a way of life that is sensitive to nature.

At Canarels, we're committed to not only producing beautiful products but also to doing so in a way that respects nature, labor, and the future. Sustainability isn't just a trend; it's a core value.

So, as a ceramics workshop, what do we do in this field?

1. Produce Less, Produce Valuable

We prefer limited, conscious production over mass production. Each product is handcrafted, made as needed, and no surplus is stockpiled. This prevents wasteful resources and highlights what's valuable.

2. Natural and Long-Lasting Materials

Ceramic is a naturally occurring, durable material. Unlike plastic or disposable products, it can be used for years. Furthermore, it can be recycled.

3. Non-Toxic and Safe Secrets

The glazes and paints we use are harmless to human health, lead-free, and food-safe. This demonstrates our respect for both nature and the user.

4. Energy Efficient Production Process

We use our ovens efficiently, saving energy by cooking multiple products simultaneously. We also optimize our production schedules seasonally to avoid unnecessary electricity consumption.

5. Recycling and Waste Management

  • Unused sludge is re-kneaded and used in production.

  • Broken pieces are turned into test items or repurposed for decorative purposes.

  • Cargo materials are selected from recyclable, environmentally friendly materials.

6. Local Sourcing, Local Production

Most of our materials are sourced from manufacturers in Türkiye. We reduce our carbon footprint by choosing domestic suppliers rather than bringing in materials from long distances.

🌍 At Canarels, Sustainability Isn't Just a Label

We add not only artistry but also consciousness to the product's story. Every Canarels product reaches you through a process that minimizes environmental impact.
